Perfacuity Files Provisional Patent for Cloud Efficiency and E-Commerce Performance Analytics Framework

Atlanta GA/Pauline SC — 11/21/2025

Perfacuity announced today that it has filed a U.S. provisional patent application covering novel methods for detecting and quantifying compute waste in cloud-hosted and e-commerce systems. The filing establishes priority for several analytical constructs, including the Dynamic Cart Allocation Audit (DCAA), the Cart Waste Index (CWI), a revenue-weighted variant of CWI, and a broader multi-domain Compute Waste Index Squared (CWI²).

Modern digital platforms increasingly experience high infrastructure costs driven by traffic patterns that are not tied to business value. These include non-converting cart sessions, cache misses, automated agents, and repeated or redundant requests. While observability tooling measures performance and FinOps tooling measures cost, neither provides a unified and quantifiable model for identifying the compute wasted across these domains.

Perfacuity’s filing describes a structured approach to analyzing these inefficiencies using normalized compute-time measurements, cost weighting based on cloud provider pricing, and classification models that map resource usage to revenue pathways. This framework enables engineering and operations teams to surface hidden inefficiencies and take data-driven corrective actions.

“We’re excited to formalize our work in this space,” said James Pulley, co-founder of Perfacuity. “Organizations are spending more on infrastructure than ever, but much of the load they’re paying for is avoidable. Our models help quantify the invisible cost layers that impact revenue, customer experience, and cloud spend.”

Perfacuity’s filing supports the upcoming release of holiday-season performance audits and the company’s broader roadmap of efficiency analytics tools.
